The Best News

She pooped! At 12:45 AM the nurse reported the "poop of all poops" came out of little Tess. Praise God, my baby is on her way home from the NICU!

To add shivers down your spine, today is the 1 year anniversary of my Father-in-law's death. (To new blog readers, last year on this exact date my husband lost his father less than 12 weeks after his first cancer diagnosis. We've waited for this conclusive sign of Tessie's healing from abdominal surgery for over 12 days now. Thanks Dad!)

YAY!! Who would think that poop could bring such happiness??

So glad she is on the mend!

And what a beautiful connection to her grandpa!

You are right; this is the best news. It will only be topped by her homecoming.

Thanks be to God! Praying that her recovery will be smooth from here on out and that her homecoming will come very quickly now.

Wow! What wonderful news! I am so glad to hear that. Many more prayers coming your way that things continue to improve.

Also, I know you guys are doing a lot of praying right now -- if you could throw in a few for fellow Catholic blogger Bonnie (who blogs at Learning to Be a Newlywed), she also has a newborn in the NICU with some complicated issues right now. I know she'd appreciate it!

Still praying hard for you ALL!!! This is SUCH exciting news :) Also, had another thought to share about living in "Tess-world" - Miracles are found in the fruits of the suffering, not just in the cure.

Many prayers and hugs!

I will keep the prayers coming. I am so happy for this big victory, and that she is acting like your everyday, demanding little baby. It must be music to your ears.
